House For Sale £1,400,000
Camden Park Road, Chislehurst BR7

Description
This four bedroom detached house is situated in one of Chislehurst's most popular roads and the owners have kindly shared their thoughts about the house:-

'We bought the house because it provided the ideal opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a private tree lined gated estate while remaining within a 20 minute commute to London and are only selling because we have retired to live by the sea so we can follow our passion for sailing.

What attracted us to 'Pinewood' was that it was a modern house on a very quiet private gated estate - part of the Chislehurst conservation area. As a private road there are no public rights of way for vehicles and the estate is well run and maintained by a management committee of residents who ensure that the road and verges are well maintained and planted - representing excellent value for money at £300 per annum. We liked the fact that the estate has little light pollution and the only noise is from the bird life - owls are a speciality. We had the gardens professionally landscaped at both front and rear and there is a pond and cascade feature in the rear garden. The house is not overlooked by any of the neighbouring houses and we enjoyed lovely views to rear and front. The neighbours are a friendly bunch and there is a real community spirit on the estate with a good mix of ages, occupations and nationalities.

The property has been well maintained over the years - the side fence was replaced just last year. The windows are solid, double glazed cedar wood (installed in 2004). Had we stayed we would have undertaken further updating and would have realised the potential for a side and a loft extension. Houses to both sides have been extended, without impinging on 'Pinewood' and we feel confident that we would have obtained planning permission.

We loved the fact that the house is only a 12 minute walk to Elmstead Woods station with trains to London every 10 minutes. Our son caught the train to St Olave's grammar school (3 stops away) and our daughter walked to Bullers Wood School (the house is in the catchment area and the school is rated as outstanding by Ofsted). Had we chosen, they could have attended Bromley High School or Eltham College which are only short drives away. '

Council Tax:- London Borough of Bromley, Band D, £2,814.20
