Cosy, two bedroomed, semi-detached cottage in delightful, rural, Lakeland village setting. Currently used as a second home but equally could be used as a holiday let or permanent residence. No upward chain.
This compact, two bedroomed cottage is full of charm and character and offers an ideal base from which to explore northern Lakeland, as well as rural north-west Cumbria, extending out to the Solway Coastline. Uldale is within the Lake District National Park and is approximately 10 miles from Keswick, the main tourist centre for the area, which offers a wide range of amenities, shops, and visitor attractions. Uldale is set amongst steeply rolling countryside which quickly rises to the south and east to form the high Uldale Fells, Caldbeck Fells and mountain massifs of Skiddaw and Blencathra, etc. The immediate area, therefore, offers excellent walking and cycling opportunities, with a wide range of outdoor pursuits a little further afield.
Trusmadoor offers compact, comfortable accommodation. On the ground floor an entrance porch leads into a large open plan kitchen/living/dining area. The kitchen has a log burner in original fireplace. Kitchen and living areas are separated by an archway. On the first floor is a second bedroom, lounge and shower room. Outside, at the front, is a large, shared yard and the cottage has a paved seating area overlooking the village and fells. The property is well presented and easily maintained.
From Keswick, take the A591, northbound, towards Bassenthwaite. Past the turnings for Bassenthwaite Village, at the Castle Inn crossroads, turn right towards Ireby. Past the left fork, posted Ireby, and continue towards Uldale and Caldbeck. On arriving in the village, with the central greens to your right, turn right and Trusmadoor will be found in a small courtyard on the right-hand side.
