Location

Rodborough is one of the most popular locations around Stroud and The Fleece Cottage is yards from Rodborough Common, several hundred acres of natural countryside, free for anyone to roam. Rodborough is well known as a friendly and inclusive community, with a popular primary school and pub (real ale) and even an ice cream factory (Winstone's). Crucially it is possible to walk as well as drive from here into Stroud. From the town's main line station, trains into London Paddington are scheduled from just over 90 minutes and the capital is normally under 2 hours by road. Stroud itself has very much its own unique character, with a real artistic flavour. There is an award winning Farmers' Market as well as a major Waitrose plus other supermarkets, a multiplex cinema, a popular provincial theatre and its two grammar schools. Surrounded by dramatic scenery, Stroud lies at the junction of five different valleys. In contrast, immediately to the west is the Severn Vale and the M5 motorway (Junction 13), providing swift access to Bristol or the West Midlands.

Directions

The property is easily found by leaving Stroud on the A46 in the direction of Nailsworth. Immediately before reaching ''The Clothiers Arms'', turn left up Rodborough Hill. Continue up the hill past ''The Prince Albert'' and then The Olde Golden Fleece will be recognised on the right, immediately after the road narrows. For an initial visit, it is advisable to either park down by the pub or on the Common above. The Fleece Cottage is situated at the rear of The Olde Golden Fleece and shares the pedestrian access from the public road to it.

General Information

The footprint at Fleece Cottage has a flying freehold over part of the rear of The Olde Golden Fleece, to which it is attached, but the two properties are held in separate titles. It is listed Grade II and in a Conservation Area. Please seek advice from your financial advisor prior to viewing as we have been informed there will be restricted lending available.
