House For Sale £650,000
Chelmsford Road, London E17

Description
A beautifully appointed two bedroom Victorian terrace, brimming with lovingly preserved original features throughout, brilliantly bright and with a real cottagey feel. But it's still superbly central, just ten minutes from the High Street.

Your private rear garden's a real suntrap, lengthy and secluded with high timber fencing and flourishing screening greenery. With a little green-fingered attention this could be an idyllic outdoor solace.

If you lived here…

Your twenty two and a half foot long dual aspect through lounge will be the heart of your new home. Gloriously bright and awash with natural light. Walls are pristinely white, while artfully distressed original timber floorboards lie underfoot and you have a working wood burner in the hearth. The large bay has the original wooden sashes as does the rear window framing your garden view. Next door your kitchen's neatly finished in chessboard floor tiling and timber worktops, with a pastel blue paintjob from splashback to ceiling.

To the rear you have a wonderful extra addition with your eighty square foot dual aspect sun room. As bright as the name implies and the perfect spot to enjoy the garden all year round. Up your adorable wooden staircase and your bathroom features more of those stripped wood floors, plus a handsome and comprehensive white suite. Finally, both bedrooms are substantial doubles, with the front master particularly impressive at over 150 square feet, each finished in that bright, characterful style.

Outside and Walthamstow High Street is a little over ten minutes on foot. Home to a vast array of stores, supermarkets and cafes, you also have the famous Walthamstow Street Market – the longest of its kind in Europe and a great spot for fresh produce. Here's also where you'll find Walthamstow Central station for direct, twenty minute runs to the West End and the City. Kings Cross is just fifteen minutes away via the Victoria line, and we're at the top of the line here so you'll always get a seat.

What else?

- Our famous leafy locale of Walthamstow Village is just a half mile on foot and well worth the stroll. Here you'll find a huge, diverse range of wining and dining establishments from the delicious tapas at The Orford Saloon to the delicious foodie delights of The Queens Arms gastropub.
- Kerbside views are particularly charming, with vintage stained glass in both windows and above the front door.
- The gardens, playgrounds and pitches of Thomas Gamuel Park are literally around the corner, just a few steps from your front door. Perfect for exercise, racquet sports or to simply chill.

A word from the owner...

"I moved into this lovely, cottagey Victorian house 24 years ago and have kept the wooden window frames and other original features to preserve the house's character. It is very quiet here since Waltham Forest council changed the traffic flow along the street. Children play in the park opposite, where there is an occasional coffee stall.

The garden is wildlife friendly, and receives sunshine much of the day, especially in the morning. I've enjoyed the bus and underground travel links to central London, and cycling has got much better since new cycle lanes have appeared throughout the borough. Chelmsford Road is a friendly street with a community feel. There are lots of lovely spicy take-aways if you don't feel like cooking."
