House For Sale £450,000
Ronver Road, London SE12

Description
Overview

Fantastic 2 bedroom bay fronted period property for sale on the ever popular Ronver Road & offered with no chain. The current owners have clearly put in a great deal of time, effort and expense to create a stunning home. Located within walking distance of Lee Station, local shops, Northbrook Park and featuring a landscaped & low maintenance garden, we expect the property to be very popular.

From the street the property immediately catches your attention thanks no doubt to the rendered front elevation and front wall, made to measure planation shutters, slate effect composite roof tiles to the bay window area & the wood effect composite front door. As you may expect the theme continues internally and in the entrance hallway visitors are met by a stunning tiled floor which leads to both the lounge and to the dining room. The lounge features grey painted walls below a white picture rail and has a warm, cosy and homely feel which is further accentuated by the log burner. The dining room features the same colour scheme and leads on to a modern fitted kitchen with gloss white units and featuring a contrasting dark floor – both rooms offer direct access to the landscaped and low maintenance rear garden, featuring artificial grass, potting beds, two decking areas and a shed.

To the first floor are two well-proportioned double bedrooms – both of which benefit from good natural light and have black feature fireplaces to the chimney breasts. There is also a stunning modern fitted bathroom which was designed to look in keeping with the era the property was built.

We asked the current owners to tell us a little bit about their experiences of living in the property and here’s what they had to say:

After six years living on Ronver Road what can we say? It's a quiet unassuming little street on the outskirts of South East London where we’ve been very happy and felt very much at home. Aside from benefiting from a host of friendly neighbours, young and old, there are some great local characters who run the corner shop at the end of road and the Pharmacy on Baring Road. It has a lovely little park opposite, ideal for a summer stroll, and it’s a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of Blackheath Village. There are numerous pubs nearby, but the Lord Northbrook is a firm favourite for a pint and a Sunday Roast. You also can’t mention Lee without mentioning Luciano’s Italian; a wonderful family owned restaurant that serves up fantastic Italian dishes, where a weekly visit is very likely once you savoured what’s on offer.

We both work in central London so good transport links were essential when considering where we were buying and you’re never going to be short of options. Lee being the nearest station (a 10 minute walk) takes 15 minutes into London Bridge, but nearby Hither Green and Blackheath also offer alternatives should you need them. Buses are constantly running at the end of the road and can take you far and wide, either further into London or out of town towards Bromley and other neighbouring towns.

The house itself was in need of a little tlc when we bought it back in September 2015, and after some patience and determination we like to think we've turned it into a pretty little house with a character all its own. Some particularly proud achievements are renovating the garden (before and after pictures are available) and installing a wood burning stove for those colder winter evenings.

The thought of leaving our home is a tough one and we wouldn’t be considering it but not to live closer to family and friends. Lee is a great location if you’re looking to stay in London but have a little bit more green space around you, we can’t recommend it enough.
