Life in the village – Here we go again i’m afraid, one of my top two places to live, well actually it’s number one and two but hey ….
So Swallowfield, when it comes to Swallowfield I`m a bit biased, my mother still lives out here along with a lot of good friends and it`s a fantastic village to grow up in, settle down in or retire to.....it has something for everyone.
As a quintessential English village, it`s well-known for its picturesque setting and traditional local amenities, including gp Practice/ Pharmacy, General Store, Post Office and two pubs plus a thriving community with Parish Hall and a Church.
Residents enjoy a perfect blend of peaceful, rural surrounds with easy access to town centre attractions, with the vibrant area of Reading just over 15 minutes from the village by car, or by regular Bus service and Wokingham a short hop away. The primary school in Farley Hill is highly regarded and Bohunt, in the local area, is fantastic for comprehensive school requirements. Bus connections also give access to Reading and Hampshire schools.
Saranade is set in ‘The Street’ itself, lovely spot with everything close and screened from the road with gravel driveway to the side leading you to the carport and garage beyond and then taking you off to the right along the pathway.
Walking inside the entrance hall leads straight through to the back of the home with cloakroom off to the right and main living room to the left. The living room is a great size with huge bow window allowing the light to pour in but with the screening it’s very private.
