2 bed Flat For Sale £450,000
Markhouse Road, London E17

Description
An elegant, characterful and colourful two bedroom apartment in Walthamstow's signature Warner style, with a dedicated front door and private section of rear garden courtesy of our first mayor, Sir Thomas Courtenay Warner, in the 1890s.

Still some of the most popular housing around, these classic apartments have stood the test of time with their handsome brick facade, flexible layout and rock solid construction.

If you lived here…

You'll be enjoying more than 800 square feet of artfully arranged space just off Lea Bridge Road and a short walk from Walthamstow High Street. Head through your striking canary yellow front door with inlaid stained glass and it's up to your landing with blonde hardwood floors. Your 170 square foot lounge sits to the front with calm pastel walls and a striking vintage hearth.

Elsewhere, both bedrooms are sizeable doubles of 110 square feet, plushly carpeted and characterfully finished. Your kitchen's smartly decked out in sleek contemporary cabinets, mint pastel splashbacks and dove grey counters, while your bathroom genuinely dazzles with sparkling blue letter box tiling above the luxurious corner tub, a vanity bowl sink and vintage geometrics underfoot.

Outside, the 158 bus stops practically outside your door and will get you to St James Street station in five minutes, for direct twenty minute trips to Liverpool Street. Blackhorse Road is just another five minutes' ride and will get you straight to Oxford Circus just as quickly. Alternatively, Lea Bridge Road is just over ten minutes walk and is your gateway to Stratford's huge range of onward overground, underground and international destinations. The East London transport hub is just one stop and seven minutes down the line.

What else?

- For your new local may we recommend The Hare & Hounds? It's an uncommonly sumptuous gastropub where the decor is just as delicious as the menu. A mere five minutes on foot.
- The lease is long enough not to cause you any renewal worries.
- Did we mention your garden? Accessed via a set of internal stairs it's a pleasant mix of zero maintenance Tru-lawn, a gravel seating area and railway sleeper beds.

A word from the owner.....

"We have really enjoyed calling this corner of Walthamstow our home for the past 4 years, especially the proximity to parks and nature. We have loved exploring the Waterworks Nature Reserve, Walthamstow Wetlands and the Marshes as well as visiting the horses at Lee Valley Riding Centre and walking along the canal. It has been such a family friendly place to live with lots of activities for children and opportunities to meet other young
families. Our toddler has loved exploring the many local parks and playgrounds, of which there are at least 6 in easy walking distance but St James and Jubilee Parks have been our favourites. Brooks Farm is also close for some animal action and Leyton Leisure Centre has a fantastic pool as well as gym and classes. Lea Bridge Library is right around the corner and now has a lovely new cafe and we have loved exploring the cafes and food
outlets at Crate. Our neighbours have also been welcoming and inviting and we have really felt part of a community on Markhouse Corner."
