Seller Insight

This impeccable property is one of two exclusive, spacious, family homes constructed within the pretty Cambridgeshire village of Guilden Morden and surrounded by large tracts of arable farming countryside, but within easy reach of outstanding amenities. It has been the much loved home for Steve and Sharon since 2018, when they purchased the house from new.

“We had built our previous home ourselves to an extremely high specification, and one which included an innovative ‘green’ heat source. Unsurprisingly, our list of requirements for our new home was very exacting. Discovering this exquisitely designed, quality, house in this beautiful village also, with an air source heat pump supporting the under floor heating system, was perfect for us. This, alongside many pioneering advances in its design and practicality was ideal. Accommodation is generous and adaptable. We utilise one room as a cosy snug, with the larger reception room being perfect when our family are around. The kitchen diner is, undoubtably, the hub of family life for us. Having large amounts of glazing brings natural daylight flooding in and, when both set of French doors are open wide, the kitchen/diner space extends into our enclosed private ‘landscaped’, courtyard garden. It is such a tranquil, peaceful, spot with its decorative pots, presenting a continental ambience, and is perfect for external dining or to enjoy quiet relaxation.”

“The friendly village is proud of its strong sense of community with many social activities taking place in its village hall, or from the popular community run pub. There is a highly rated primary school here, but there is a wide choice of both state and independent schools nearby. Minutes away is Ashwell and Morden main line station which offers quick and efficient journeys into the capital. Local farm shops, supermarkets, independent butchers and bakers are all within easy reach as are main roads. We particularly love to visit Cambridge for its wonderful architecture, museums, theatres and restaurants, but towns such as Baldock, Royston and Biggleswade are conveniently close.”

“We no longer require such a large home and are house hunting once more. This has been an exceptional home family home for ourselves, children and grandchildren. Its location within this fabulous village and surroundings will ensure that whoever decides to live here will experience an outstanding qualitative lifestyle.”
