Sellers Perspective

So, what particularly attracted you to the property when you bought it?

Because we are a large family of four, we needed the number of bedrooms offered by the cottage and the size of the Kitchen/Dining Room and Sitting Room also worked well for us as a family.

Immediately we walked in the cottage it felt like home, it was so warm and welcoming.

Deddington is one of the best served villages locally with excellent amenities and a School and these were important to us at the time with a young family and were a key attraction. It has been a safe and pleasant place to raise our children whilst also being great for evenings out when friends come over. Another bonus is it is central to everything – London, Birmingham, and Bicester Village.

How long have owned the property?
Since 2004 approximately 17.5 years.

Briefly, can you tell me some of the things you love about living here?

A. Main living area with inglenook always feels welcoming and a pleasure to be in.
B. Master bedroom is a lovely spacious, en suite room – we often escape into it for a bit of peace and quiet, we almost feel like we are in a hotel suite away from whatever family hustle and bustle is going on in the main house below.
C. We have had the best Christmases in this house, the atmosphere is always just perfect.
D. It has been an excellent place to raise four children – plenty of clubs, playgrounds, walking areas (Castle Grounds) shops – much more than most villages of this size.

Why are you moving?
Relocating to the coast. One of our children moved there and we love it.

What will you miss the most?
Cosy evenings by the lovely fireplace that always looks awesome – especially at Christmas. We are likely never to repeat that in a new property.
