Estate Agent Note

The chapel served what was then a college for young gentlemen producing many successful students like Wing Commander George Stainsforth afc who presented the college with a wind vane in the form of an S6B in 1932 which was erected above the Chapel until the outbreak of wwii when it was removed for safety. It was later re erected in nearby Greenhill Gardens in 1952 with a descriptive plaque. In 1895 the foundation stone was laid by the then Lord Bishop of Salisbury and dedicated a year or so later to Saint Michael and all Angels.
