The house is technically ' semi-detached' because the former servants quarters are in separate ownership. However, the original composition of the main house remains. It has impressive façades to the south (facing into Hepburn Gardens) and west (facing into Wardlaw Gardens). The front façade has balusters above a pedimented stone front door surround, a front facing gable and decorative pitched and curved windows along the roof line. The west façade has two bays with a steep pitched and flat coned roofs above.

The accommodation extends to 4,913 ft2 and is currently arranged for occupation by two families with a ground floor shower room and separate kitchens on the ground and first floor. One of the kitchens could easily revert to an extra bedroom or reception room if required.
