We would expect the bsf to cover most of the costs and we hope that all costs of remedial works for fire safety can be covered between the Government's fund and our recently announced fund. Once we have finalised the scope of works for each building, we will be able to fully understand the nature of any shortfalls across affected properties.
At the moment, it is too early in the process to confirm costs as the works need to be fully designed and any government funding from the bsf confirmed. At that point, we will be able to share costs with leaseholders.
Once costs, the scope of works, program, and government grant can be confirmed, this should provide sufficient information for the sale and conveyancing of apartments to proceed and for leaseholders to secure lending from a selection of mortgage providers where required (each lender will have their own individual policy in this regard).
