Description
An elegantly appointed and lovingly developed three bedroom Victorian terrace, with an expertly extended kitchen/diner, twin bathrooms and artfully landscaped rear garden. It's all located just off our thriving new locale of Wood Street.

One of our most exciting new neighbourhoods, Wood Street is home to an ever-increasing array of independent cafes, stores and gastropubs, plus supermarkets for your day-to-day needs and even a thriving vintage market, great for picking up unique knick knacks.

If you lived here…

You'll be enjoying some exemplary Design & Decor throughout, with a wealth of vintage features and smart designer finishes. The through lounge is a solid and substantial 200 square feet, with whitewashed original floorboards and a striking period hearth and mantel. Your immaculately conceived kitchen/diner sits to the rear – over twenty two feet deep with gorgeous chevron brick flooring and a handsome suite of Royal Blue cabinets with marbled worktops.

This impeccable dining area opens up via a set of bi-folding patio doors to your rear garden, where a matching brick patio sits beneath a timber pergola and gives way to a lush spot of lawn. Back inside and your ground floor's completed by a skylit shower room, while upstairs your master bedroom sits to the front, an impressive 150 square foot double, bedroom two comes in at 110 and your final bedroom to the rear is a handy, generous single. Finally your family bathroom's a classical treasure, complete with a freestanding clawfoot tub.

Outside, and as well as having Wood Street on your doorstep you're just a half mile on foot from our sought-after leafy enclave of Walthamstow Village. The ancient high street of Orford Road is home to historic architecture and some of the finest wining and dining establishments for miles around. Explore the whole area for everything from artisanal gin palaces, to home made pizza joints, wine bars and tapas saloons as well as sumptuous gastropubs.

What else?

- Wood Street overground station is just five minutes' walk and will get you directly to Liverpool Street in twenty. Alternatively, Walthamstow Central is just one stop down for a quick hop to the Victoria line.
- Parents will be pleased to know that you have sixteen primary/secondary schools within a mile on foot, all rated 'Good' or better by Ofsted. The 'Outstanding' Woodside Primary Academy is just two minutes around the corner.

A word from the owners...
"20 Corbett Road will always have a special place in our hearts. It's here that our daughter took her first steps and later, where our son was born. It's been the perfect family home, thanks to good sized bedrooms, large living room and spacious kitchen. The south-facing garden has been a treat and since we had a new kitchen fitted in 2020, we love opening the bifold doors and letting the sunlight pour in. We've never felt cold in this house. In winter, it's cosy and warm, thanks to the double-layered loft insulation, Our favourite parts of the house are the wide upstairs passageway, where our children love to play, and the attractive, wood-panelled stairwell, which is a real sun trap. There's plenty of storage, with a sizeable exterior passage at the side of the kitchen, which is a plus for growing families. As well as the attic, there's a roomy cupboard under the stairs, where we keep a pram, bike and scooter. We will miss the close-knit community of Corbett Road. On the day we moved in our neighbours welcomed us with a bottle of Prosecco, and we've been close ever since. When we go on holiday, our neighbours are happy to watch our house, water our plants and take out our bins. We enjoyed many an over-the-fence drink with them during lockdown! Wood Street has flourished in recent years. The new playground on Wood Street Plaza is great for little ones and there are now multiple places on Wood Street to grab coffee or something to eat - or even a Viking longbow!"
