Situation

Great Mongeham is an attractive village and civil parish on the outskirts of Deal. The name is derived from Mundelingham or village of Mundel and parts of Great Mongeham’s church, St. Martin’s, date back to the 13th Century. The property enjoys a private and tucked away position in which to enjoy the beautiful countryside and views, with many walks in the area to include across fields towards Northbourne or Ripple.

The towns of Deal and Sandwich provide a good range of shops, public houses, restaurants, schools and local amenities. The Cathedral City of Canterbury offers a wider range of excellent shopping facilities and many cultural interests, along with well regarded schools in both the state and private sectors, colleges and universities. Recreation facilities in and around the area include championship golf courses, sports centres including a tennis centre, swimming pool, and water sports along the coast. Connections are excellent, with the A256, the A2 and A20 linking into the motorway networks. Local railway stations can be found at Deal, Walmer, Kearsney, Dover Priory and Sandwich, with Dover Priory offering the high speed service to London St Pancras. The Channel Tunnel Terminal at Cheriton and the Port of Dover provide cross channel services to the Continent.
Directions

Leave Canterbury on the A2 towards Dover and continue for approximately 12 miles to the Duke of York roundabout. Take the first exit onto the A258 towards Deal. At Walmer turn left into Station Road and continue into Ellen’s Road. At the end of this road, after about a mile and a half, turn right at the T junction. The private drive to The Haven is on the left after about 60 yards. Church Path is directly opposite the end of Ellen’s Road.
