Description
Lorenden is a substantial Grade II listed detached village house, with origins dating as far back as the 16th century and later additions in the 18th and 19th centuries. This handsome five bedroom property, accessed via an in and out drive, is situated in the heart of the village where there is a good variety of amenities.

Offering potential for updating, the accommodation is arranged over three floors and retains many period features including open fireplaces, high ceilings, some original window shutters, exposed timbers and wood strip flooring. The ground floor accommodation comprises a reception hall off which is the well proportioned drawing room with open fireplace and a formal dual aspect dining room, also with fireplace. A long archway, an interesting feature, leads through to the rear hall and the kitchen/breakfast room with fitted cupboards and space for white goods. Double doors open to a conservatory with two sets of doors giving access to the level gardens. A concealed door within the kitchen floor leads down to the cellar, where the boiler is housed.
A staircase leads to the first floor where there is a large landing offering flexibility for a study area. The principal bedroom is a very good sized room, benefiting from an en suite shower room. There is a further bedroom on this floor and a family bathroom and walk in linen cupboard. The second floor has three further bedrooms, served by another bathroom.

The property is approached from the road via an in and out block paved driveway, with plenty of parking in front of the house and access to a single garage. The garden lies to the rear of the house and is mainly laid to lawn and westerly facing, there are several well stocked borders, various shrubs, fruit trees and an ornamental pond.
