We were attracted to this lovely warm house because of the sheer space that was on offer, with two double bedrooms upstairs and two large reception rooms downstairs. When we saw the separate toilet from the bathroom, we knew this was the house for us… Let’s just say my husband was very happy. The garden was the perfect size for us to manage as low maintenance was a priority.

If you are looking for easy access to parks and schools you will love this location. My daughter was only a toddler at the time so this location was a plus for us too as local parks are just minutes away; we could visit at any time of the day and we enjoyed doing that. She has attended one of the local, well maintained Primary and Secondary Schools with no issues. Now she is an amazing young lady, grown up and ready to leave the nest.

We had extended the kitchen and added an extra room and bathroom to the downstairs area five years ago, for convenience and added comfort as a family home. If you love to entertain friends and family on those special occasions you will love the extra space in the cold winter months when the garden isn’t ideal to host family parties. Then, there is the loft space with boarded flooring and electricity adding more storage. But, if you would like more rooms the loft has the potential to add an extra room and bathroom for sleepovers. You would not even have to worry about planning permission as a plan has been already approved and is available. Our large storage shed in the garden mimics a so-called Granny Annex, but it is my husband's favourite place for his creativity and chill time too.

Whether you are a driver or not, the off-street parking is a bonus, because friends and family can have somewhere to park when they visit. For us, we loved the convenience of not having to drive around looking for parking space after a long tiring day at work. But, of course, we loved the option of having a Bus Stop less than five minutes away that gets us to Norbury Train Station in less than 10 minutes, its perfect location with great transport links to the city and even for catching the plane at Gatwick Airport to your desired vacation spot.

We really did not plan to move from our homely home and area. We have loved living here immensely. I am certainly going to miss the buzzing High Street where I get my soul food for my traditional dishes. My daughter loves Wheeler’s corner shop a few minutes down the road, where she pops to for her favourite snacks. But, as you and your children get older you realise that you have to pivot to realign with family and the future, dare I say".
