Sailing from Redcliff Marina on the Wareham Channel with further water sports available at Poole, Swanage and Weymouth; the area being renowned for its wonderful, sandy beaches and scenic coastline. Lulworth Cove is about 6 miles. Golf at the East Dorset (Hyde), Wareham and the Isle of Purbeck (Swanage).
There are a good range of walks in the area giving access across the countryside as well as the Purbecks. There is an excellent selection of schools in the area, both state and private, including Canford, Clayesmore, Bryanston, the Sherborne schools, Milton Abbey, Leweston, Port Regis, Sandroyd, Knighton House and Hanford.
