We moved here some eight years ago as my husband was an avid sailor and we are within walking distance of Cowes with its independent shops, chandlers, bars and restaurants. I love the peace and quiet as well as the privacy and the fact I can take the dogs on wonderful walks either within the grounds or down to the quaint Gurnard beach with its green-coloured beach huts and children's playground. If you want to have a drink and a meal out without having to take the car you can wander along to The Woodvale where, not only can you enjoy good food, but it also stunning views across the Solent. There are also excellent primary and secondary schools as well as the Priory private school in the area and a nearby golf course.
