House For Sale £450,000
Parsonage Fields, Monkton, Ramsgate CT12

Description
Versatile Home in a Popular Rural Location!

Miles & Barr are delighted to offer to the market this well presented semi-detached family home nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac in the highly sought after village of Monkton.

The village is located at the south-west edge of the Isle of Thanet and is situated mainly along the B2047 road, leading off the A263 road between Canterbury and Ramsgate, giving excellent transport links by car and bus services. Monkton Nature Reserve, run by the environmental charity, Thanet Countryside Trust, is situated on chalk hills to the north of the village, and is notable for its geology and many important habitats, a pond and rare orchids. It also houses the Thanet Astronomical Observatory and the first artificial bat cave built in the UK, with facilities including field centre with a museum, reference library, bookshop and picnic site. Monkton has a small joint junior and infant school, Monkton Church of England Primary School, and a 12th-century Anglican parish church, dedicated to St Mary Magdalene.

The property itself offers deceptively spacious, extended accommodation, and boasts an entrance hallway, two double bedrooms, and a single bedroom. There's a family bathroom, generous lounge in excess of 17 foot with gas fire, an open plan kitchen/diner and a lovely conservatory to the rear of the home, overlooking the garden. Upstairs to the first floor you'll find the main double bedroom with dressing room, eaves storage, and en-suite bathroom. Externally to the front/side of the home is ample off road parking and detached garage, whilst to the rear is a generous sunny garden with patio and lawn areas, along with a summer house.

A lovely home, in a great location, call Miles & Barr today to arrange your viewing now!

Ramsgate is situated on the southerly aspect of the Isle of Thanet and benefits the country’s only Royal Harbour, its status being granted by King George 1V in 1821. The distinctive and beautiful harbour has a vibrant yachting community alongside some commercial activity and was where the Little Ships evacuation of Dunkirk set out from in 1940. The town is enjoying something of a Renaissance with its large amount of Grade II Listed property, many set within elegant Regency squares, or overlooking the sea, others with links to or influenced by the architect Augustus Pugin. In recent years the Royal Harbour has seen many restaurants, cafes and bars emerge alongside quirky independent retail outlets, some utilising the arches on the quayside beneath Royal Parade. The town is steeped in history with associations to many well known figures including Queen Victoria, Karl Marx and Vincent Van Gogh as well as having a fascinating network of tunnels beneath the main centre. The fortunes of the town have been hugely assisted by the recent addition of a high speed rail link to London St Pancras making a commute for many a viable option.
