We didn’t want something on or near a main or busy road so the fact we are accessed via a maintained bridal way gives us the privacy without the attendant road noise and pollution. In addition, we found ourselves just a 10-minute walk to Farnham park and the local cricket club with a Waitrose store just 15mins walk away. So, in terms of location, it ticked our boxes.
With regards to the property itself we liked the idea of a new home but for it to be distinctive and not a “cookie cutter" home amongst a large development which often can be the case with new homes. The flint stone finish gave us strong curb appeal and something unique and the sizeable wrap around garden was also a bonus. The fact it was not too remote also meant we didn’t feel isolated. The 9-home development ensured it would become a small yet supportive community which really came to the fore during the pandemic.
The house itself is spacious and homely and extremely well insulated, also containing many modern features and finishes such as the bioethanol fire places and fibre broadband for high-speed connection.
