Kenilworth Road, Bridge Of Allan, Stirling FK9

Description
Sleek and sophisticated mid-century home with elevated views over Bridge of Allan

Description
24c Kenilworth Road is a superb example of 1960s architecture with its open plan layout, large windows and clean lines. The property has been brought back to life and recently restored by the current owners.
From the street, a bridge leads to the front door providing a glimpse into the entrance hall through a glazed door and window. The white painted brick and exposed timber ceiling are well lit from two sky wells. To the left of the hall are a WC and kitchen. The kitchen features pink base units and a central island topped with marble countertops, open shelves and a freestanding fridge/ freezer. Large windows overlook the surrounding gardens and view over the rooftops of Bridge of Allan. A pantry is also accessed from the kitchen.

The open plan living room and dining room can be accessed from either adjacent to the kitchen, or to the right of the entrance hall. The space features exposed brick walls on one side and floor to ceiling double glazed windows, perfectly framing the panoramic views over the town. Nestled into the trees on either side, the view seamlessly blends the outdoor and indoor spaces. Original teak flooring connects the dining and living areas, whilst an open fireplace provides a further focal point.

A stylish office has elm wall panelling and is lit by dual aspect windows, providing a serene space to work and think. A cosy sitting room sits off the office and features two large floor to ceiling windows overlooking aspects of the garden.

The mahogany staircase leads down to the ground floor where four spacious bedrooms ( one en suite) and two shower rooms are located. At one end of the hallway is the principal bedroom with walk in wardrobe, en suite shower room, and three large windows overlooking the garden and patio areas ( one of the windows is a patio door leading outside). The three other bedrooms openly invite the outdoors in through large windows, and two of the bedrooms feature generous fitted wardrobes. At the other end of the hallway is a useful utility room with boiler cupboard and rear door access to the garden.
Gardens

Accessed from steps down from the bridge, from the utility room and principal bedroom, the gardens surround the property and create a natural backdrop to the striking exterior of the building, balanced by the Siberian larch cladding on one side. The garden features a paved patio area overlooking the pond which creates a relaxing environment and which then leads to a large decked area for al fresco dining and enjoying the elevated view. Landscaped borders run around the property to the east side where lawn extends to the stone boundary walls. This area has been identified as a potential building plot but no planning has yet been sought. A reinforced wall runs along the north boundary of the property, where it meets the road. To the south of the gardens, a gate leads down a few steps to the carport, currently used for storage.
