Please contact us for more details About Uxbridge

Uxbridge is a suburban town in West London. Situated 15.4 miles west-northwest of Charing Cross. Being in Zone 6, residents are away from the hustle and bustle of Central London, but they still get the advantage of being a tourist in their own city. Day trips to explore London are great ways to spend the day, but there is also a variety of places to take retreats locally and get away from the chaos of Central London. The Grand Union Canal is one of the many peaceful days out in London, and links Uxbridge to Birmingham, passing through the countryside, towns and villages, and is a great place to go for a walk with the dog, a bike-ride, or an adventure with your friends. There are two shopping centres in Uxbridge, the Pavillions and Intu Uxbridge, which has a nine-screen cinema. As well as having high-street names, Uxbridge has some local and independent shops, so it's great to find a bargain or an unusual gift. The shopping centres also host different events throughout the year, including a pop-up beach, ping pong tables, and Santa's grotto, all free of charge, making it the perfect day out for the family without a major cost. There's also a family club that offers discounts and exclusive deals, which is free to join. Brunel University was founded in 1966 and helps bring the Uxbridge community together. Students work and volunteer locally and represent Uxbridge in competitions against other universities in England, and host events in the local area (both academically and non-academically). The high-standard sports facilities also bring celebrities, such as Usain Bolt who trains at Brunel, to the local area. Living in Uxbridge means having Heathrow Airport, one of the biggest airports in London, right on your doorstep, so jetting away in the winter months, or escaping to an exotic beach in summer couldn't be easier.
