Description
Rickyard Byre is an attractive, split-level single-storey byre conversion situated in a private enclave in this sought-after Cotswold village. The property was converted in 1986 from a former farm building (a cowshed) and now provides a spacious, detached property in a delightful setting. The central entrance hall has steps down to a wonderful, vaulted reception room with original exposed beams and oak-style Karndean flooring. This double-height room is bathed in natural light and has a central stone fireplace with a wood-burning stove. Beyond this is a welcoming, double-aspect kitchen fitted with bespoke, solid oak cabinets, Belfast sink and Rayburn cooker, with integrated appliances including a washing machine, dishwasher and extractor fan. A stable door leads directly out on to the south-facing garden terrace. To the other end of the property and separated from the living accommodation can be found the three bedrooms. There are two doubles, the principal bedroom with fitted wardrobes and views over the gardens and courtyard, the other with exposed purlins and an attractive view over the garden's terraced borders. The single bedroom has exposed beams and a Velux window. There is a family bathroom with a bath and rain shower above and a separate cloakroom. Each of the windows to the south or west face out to the private courtyard gardens.

Outside

The property is approached via a shared gravel driveway and is set back from the lane in a particularly peaceful and spacious courtyard setting. There is a single garage and two off-street parking spaces, along with an attractively landscaped courtyard garden which has plenty of space for al fresco entertaining. The pretty garden has Cotswold stone-raised borders and is well stocked with a variety of plants and shrubs. In addition, there is an elevated lawned garden area with well-stocked borders and mature trees. Please note there is a covenant on the property that does not allow holiday letting.
