"We've absolutely loved living in Walthamstow Village for the past 5 years. The Old Bakery was our first home and we’re really going to miss the flat and local area. The open plan layout has made it a perfect social space for us, and the fact that it was once part of the original bakery gives it an abundance of Victorian character, charm and genuine local history.
The flat is in the perfect location to access everything the village has to offer, including it’s numerous pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops – our local (The Queen’s Arms) is only 20 steps door-to-door and yes, we have counted this (many times)... Everything really is on your doorstep.
We’ve spent many lazy Summers afternoons up at the microbreweries, gin bar and God's Own Junkyard, which is around a 5 minutes walk away on the Ravenswood industrial estate. On a cosy Winter's evening, we tend to head to The Queen’s Arms or The Castle to enjoy some local beers next to an open fire, and then on to Eat17 for some top-notch food. It’s not just about eating and drinking - when we’re in the mood to stretch our legs, we
head to Hollow Ponds, Epping Forest or Walthamstow Wetlands, where you have great access to long walks/cycles/runs."
