Description
Overview

If you're looking for a sophisticated home that not only offers flexibility, but has a garden that makes you feel like you live in the middle of the countryside, then you're going to love 'Westbury'.

The block-paved driveway offers off-road parking for up to three cars side-by-side, and has built-in drainage to manage rainwater running down the natural slope. Cleverly thought out small details add up to give this house a wonderful homely feel, and the first example of this is in the entrance hall where a small nook has been utilised as a place to display family photos. The stunning tiled floor ensures muddy foot and paw prints can be easily cleaned, and this floor continues into the WC where the space under the sink offers shoe storage.

The impressive L-shaped living room can be styled in various layouts meaning this home is sure to appeal to multiple different family set-ups. The key feature taking pride of place is the working fireplace which the current owners have ensured is swept annually. Because of the size of the room, a dining table could easily fit as well as sofas if you had other plans for the dining room, otherwise it makes a very generous and comfortable living space.

The dining room is accessed via glass doors which ensure light flows from the front to the back of the house with ease. As shown by the current owners, a six seater dining table fits comfortably. Behind the dining room is the conservatory that can be utilised as you see fit; a playroom, snug or the perfect place to exercise whilst admiring the surrounding greenery. Heating ensures this space can be used all year round.

The kitchen is usually the centrepiece of any family home, and this one certainly doesn't disappoint. Refitted by the current owners in timeless sage green, it is clear to see the thought process that went into making this gorgeous space. Integrated Neff and John Lewis appliances are hidden behind shaker-style units, whilst the ingenious conversion of the space under the stairs means an eye-level double oven could be installed. The stunning Belfast-style ceramic sink is framed by a window that looks out over the garden onto the countryside beyond, whilst LED under lighting illuminates this area in the evening.

A side door leads out to the patio which is the perfect place to entertain with plenty of space for a table and chairs, as well as the all-important bbq. Due to the elevation above the garden, a safety fence has been put in place to ensure there are no accidents. The garden itself is mainly laid to lawn with mature hedges and trees lining the borders. Mid-way down the garden is the impressive log cabin that offers yet another living space. The current owners are using one side for storage and the other as an entertaining space, but this could easily be the perfect home office for those wishing to have some separation between home and work. The log cabin also offers privacy at the rear of the garden from the house next door, which is why a second patio area has been installed along with plug sockets and lighting in case you wanted to use this area for an inflatable hot tub. A clever viewing platform has also been installed where young children and adults alike can admire the unobstructed views over the fields behind.

The upstairs of this home is divided in two by the central staircase which gives the feel of a galleried landing. The master bedroom has a large built-in wardrobe with sliding doors which is the size of two traditional double wardrobes. This frees up plenty of floor space to treat yourself to a king-size bed as the current owners have. Next to the master is the smallest bedroom, making it ideal as a nursery or for the youngest child. It is a small double but is more comfortable as a large single. The second bedroom overlooks the predominantly east-facing garden meaning it is the darkest bedroom in the evening. It is a great room for one lucky child or alternatively could easily fit two small beds or bunk bed.

The bedrooms are served by the family bathroom which is fully tiled and has luxury vinyl tiles on the floor. There is a Bluetooth enabled mirror so you can play music whilst relaxing in the bath, but the showpiece is the digital shower that has control panels both inside and outside of the bath, meaning you ensure the shower is the desired temperature before you step in. The bathroom is finished off with a vanity unit offering storage, and a heated towel rail.
