Location
The village of Garway offers a wealth of quality, local amenities. There is a cosy village pub - The Garway Moon Inn, which dates back to the 18th century, and this overlooks the Garway Common; a pretty recreation area. The Moon serves local ales and ciders, the menu is inspired by fresh, locally-sourced produce. It is also worth noting that the family-friendly venue also has a play area to keep youngsters entertained. The village also includes a primary school, which is rated as 'Good' by Ofsted and this is around a five-minute walk from Malferna View.
Garway Hill is a popular walking destination within Herefordshire as the summit offers far-reaching panoramic views of rugged landscapes. To add even further to the tranquil feel of this setting, explorers have a choice of exquisite landscapes to discover; there are enchanting woodlands, as well as various wildflower meadows which come alive throughout the year with an array of blooms – such as snowdrops, bluebells, crocuses and orchids.
Malferna View is around a ten-minute drive from the Welsh market town of Monmouth, and a 15-minute drive from the English border town of Ross-on-Wye and both of these give a wealth of local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, independently-owned boutiques, restaurants, bars, reputable schools and various leisure facilities. In addition, both towns give access to the A40 and other major road networks. For the A40, the eastbound road provides a direct route to Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Cotswolds. Meanwhile, motorists heading in the opposite direction can journey towards the M4 at Newport which gives access to Cardiff and London. In addition, the M50 motorway begins in Ross, and this gives good access to the M5.
The cathedral city of Hereford, which is around 20-minutes away by car, also offers an even wider selection of supermarkets, dining and leisure facilities.

The home at a glance
The main entrance to this home leads into a bright and airy reception hall, which immediately sets the scene for the stylish and elegant home.
An open-plan kitchen/dining room serves as the heart of the home and presents an ideal entertaining space; while hosts prepare delicious meals, there is plenty of room for families and guests to gather around them. The well-equipped kitchen includes a range of modern, integrated appliances such as a microwave, double oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and wine cooler. There is also a ceramic hob, an extractor fan and a multitude of floor-and-eye-level matt grey cupboards which give a wealth of storage space and these are beautifully complimented by the granite/marble worktops. Plenty of natural light pours into this room; a window over the kitchen sink exhibits a wonderful panoramic view of the rolling countryside, and a set of French doors in the dining area lead out to the delightful south-west facing garden.
The light-streamed, dual-aspect sitting room gives families and guests another spacious area of the home in which to spend quality time together, and it features another set of French doors which lead out to the garden.
The ground floor of the property also includes a cloakroom – complete with an automatic light – as well as a sizeable utility room which includes an integrated washing machine as well as additional storage cupboards and another sink. There is also a door which leads out to the side of the property.
Back in the reception hall, a glass staircase leads to a galleried landing on the first floor of the property – which gives access to the four bedrooms and family bathroom.
Of these, the master bedroom also showcases an excellent view of the rural scenery. It also features an en-suite shower room – complete with a walk-in cubicle with both drench and handheld shower attachments, as well as a vanity unit, WC and heated towel rail.
Of the other three bedrooms, two include built-in wardrobes and, while one is large enough to accommodate a super-kingsize bed, the other comfortably fits a double bed. The last bedroom, which would be suitable for a single bed, is presently used as a home office.
In terms of washing facilities, a fully-tiled family bathroom includes a bath, a walk-in power shower, a vanity unit, a WC and a heated towel rail.
Outside, the enclosed rear garden offers a peaceful haven; a level lawn is bordered by attractive shrubs and the space also includes four raised flower beds – and a potting shed gives ample opportunity to grow a variety of vibrant blooms from seeds. Beyond the garden, there is a line of trees which give privacy from the neighbouring fields.
In terms of parking, the driveway and space around the home gives space for four-to-five vehicles, and there is also a garage - detached from the home but semi-detached with the neighbouring property's garage - and this is also accessible from the rear garden.
