From the rear of the cottage, you can watch the 11 deer that frequent the field & watch them grouping in the Autumn for mating. This year we have been putting food over the fence to feed a female fox & her two cubs who now sit each evening around 9pm with their heads poking above the grass waiting for us to feed them! At festive times of the year, we get to see panoramic views of fireworks from Reading up to the Chiltern ridges & the mast with its red lights at Stoke n church on the M40 across to Henley & Remenham Hill.
If you go out of Sadlers Cottage left or right for a walk or run as we do with our dog, you can find a very large field & woods. The woods are extensive & you can walk shaded for an hour easily. There are a couple of parks on the walk too which our son has enjoyed playing in over the years.
