Poolside, Madeley, Crewe CW3

Description
Its very rare that I am left lost for words but with this simply stunning 16th century timber framed home, I am rendered speechless. If your a stickler for properties with character including exposed beams, open fires and oozing with history then this is certainly the property for you! Having been built around 1530 by Lord Crewe for one of his Lieutenants John Offley, who went on to become the Mayor of London. When John left the property it was then tenanted for approximately 400 years in which time various extensions were added in Victorian times to include my personal favorite room: The stunning orangery, the most perfect place to enjoy the view of the two acres of beautifully manicured gardens. From the moment you pull upto the property you are instantly welcomed by the sweeping driveway that provides a plethora of gravelled off road parking and breathtaking views of The Old Hall standing tall and proud waiting to welcome you in! Are you ready to see what else this charming five bedroom home has to offer? If relaxing in front of roaring fires is your thing then why not head into the drawing room with stunning inglenook, or even the sitting room where you are given that instant 'at home' feeling, you can only imagine what these rooms would be like at Christmas! Garlands, twinkling fairy lights in abundance or even a cup of hot chocolate, someone needs to stop me as i'm getting carried away! If you look closely in the sitting room you can see the original door and keys set within the stunning wooden panelling which perfectly complements the ornate features of the room. Are you still hungry for more? If you'll pardon the pun, lets head to the dining and breakfast rooms which are the most perfect spaces for entertaining and also benefits from having period features and plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy, the breakfast room also features a delightful bay window where you can enjoy your morning coffee! The heart of every home is the kitchen and this is certainly the case here where you can find a generous room that is fitted with a range of matching base and eye level units with complementing worktops as well as all of those all important integrated appliances, everything you need to get cooking up those feasts! Bi-folding doors are the the most perfect finish to the room that opens up to provide seamless access to the patio area. Finally to the ground floor you shall find a utility room with guest W/C. There is a further door which leads down to the cellar that has been fitted as a laundry room. Every Lord or Lady of the house surely needs somewhere to sleep after a long day, so let me take you up the grand staircase and onto the first floor landing where you can find doors leading to all four double bedrooms and a beautiful carved storage cupboard. Now, this isn't an ordinary house, therefore the bedrooms aren't just ordinary bedrooms, they all have names! Lets start with Garden view which as the name suggests provides uninterrupted views over the garden as well as having a charming dressing area with an abundance of natural light flooding the room and en-suite shower room. Queen Margaret is a substantial room with exposed half timbering to the walls as well as dual aspect windows, there is also a generous en-suite. The Victorian room has a more modern feel to it as it was added on during one of the extensions and again benefits from dual aspect windows and an en-suite with his and hers sinks! Finally you shall find the Charles II suite which is just the most stunning room with ample space to fit a King size bed as well as having all of the period character features and a generous en-suite benefitting from a roll top bath and his and hers sink! Off from the landing there is a further door with stairs leading up to the third floor which was a lovely loft conversion and is currently being used as the master suite. With an abundance of exposed beams and eaves as well as a generous dressing area and en-suite you really will feel like royalty! If adventure is on your mind then why not follow us out into the perfectly manicured gardens that would rival those at any stately home. Well stocked boarders housing the most perfect array of hydrangeas and topiary bushes, your own woodland with vegetable plots and chicken coop. A pond housing coy carp set into a lovely patio seating area and a charming pergola that would make for a delightful seating area, there is also a newly gravelled quiet area with shrubs and is ideal for escaping reality on a sun lounger! Finally externally you shall find a paved courtyard that provides access to an array of outbuildings including a log store, W/C and a gin bar that is fully fitted with wine fridges and a bar with stools, utility area and entrance hall. Let me tell you folks, this property is sure to leave a lasting impression and is one to be treasured and loved by its lucky new owners!
