Key terms

Bexleyheath is home to the borough’s largest shopping facility, where you’ll find high-street names, and supermarkets. There’s a bowling alley, a cinema, Crook Log Leisure Centre, regular specialist markets and family-friendly restaurants too.

Families are also attracted to Bexleyheath for the schooling – with two of the borough’s grammars and excellent primaries close by. The Red House – an Arts & Crafts property designed for the artist and socialist William Morris - is Bexleyheath’s premier cultural attraction.

Owners comments:

All rooms have laminate flooring except the stairs and landing. The lounge dinning room has parquet patterned laminate.

The lounge diner is 10.5m long and we have held a couple of New Years parties in the past with 50+ guests in it.

The garden has astroturf style grass so low maintenance and I usually trim the shrubs and tree on either side with a hedge trimmer which is quick and easy to do.

There are power points on the wall at the front of the house which I plug the Xmas decorations into and hoover for the car. I also find it useful for the jet washer along with the adjacent tap to give the drive it’s annual clean.

The rear garden also has a tap and there are power points and lighting on the inside and outside of the summer house/shed at the bottom of the garden.

The rear extension replaced the conservatory in 2015 and the side extension was built by the previous owner around 2004. The downstairs WC was installed by us in 2015.

The kitchen was refreshed by Dream Doors and re-tiled in 2010 but has been redecorated since.

All other rooms were redecorated and the bathroom refreshed in 2010 but most of them have been redecorated again since including the lounge/diner when it was extended in 2015.

The office can easily be turned back into a bedroom as the benches and power points can easily be removed. The desk power points were installed using trunking for the cables and are supplied from one of the existing plug sockets so just an extension cable really. Once all this is removed it would just need redecorating and a new floor.

There is potential to increase the size of the small bedroom to a double by extending over the ground floor extension.

The loft has a ladder for easy access and has been boarded out. There are bulkhead lights on one of the joists which are fed by a cable that I drop down from the loft hatch and plug into the small bedroom. There is also a window which opens.

I find the study in the side extension useful for watching programs when myself and my wife want to watch different things. Our grandchildren also bring over there PlayStations and other devices and plug them into the tv that’s in there too.
