House For Sale £935,000
Benhill Road, London SE5

Description
Sellers comments Camberwell is a brilliant place to live, it has the benefits of being in Zone 2 but has a neighbourhood feel and generous amount of green space which makes if feel further out.

The restaurant and cafe scene is excellent, particular highlights include The Camberwell Arms, the best pub food in London and it's your new local, Theo's pizzeria for excellent sourdough pizza, the famous Silk Road which is even better than the reviews and within five minutes in both directions you have excellent coffee shops with Fowlds and Lumberjack being our two favourites. This just gives you a flavour in Camberwell but you are a short walk to Peckham, Elephant & Castle and East Dulwich where there are really great food scenes also.

We have loved being on Benhill Road as it is a short walk to the open spaces at both Brunswick Park and Burgess Park as well as Camberwell Church Street. The neighbours are friendly and you can reach the bus stops to get into central quickly. We often found that we spent the majority of our time in South East London, particularly East Dulwich and Peckham which also have a real community, village within London feel to them with excellent shops, outdoor spaces, restaurants and cafes. The entire area is great for strolling around, in fact I trained for a marathon simply with runs in this area of South East London, never getting bored and always finding somewhere new.

We love and were originally drawn to the house due to the very generous bedrooms, the micro location within Camberwell of being close to both parks and Camberwell Church Street as well as having an excellent entertaining space downstairs. With the house you have solar panels on the roof and an air ventilation system throughout which ensures that both your electricity bill is reduced and you have clean air being pumped around the house without having to open windows. The light throughout the house is excellent with its generous windows and you have a hassle free garden for sitting and having the doors open in summer as well as access to a larger, more generously sized communal garden.

We are making the tough decision to sell for the dual reason of being close to family as we have a young family and all the help we can get is appreciated (!) and also a change in circumstances with my work, it is a wonderful area and having lived in a few places in London it is undoubtedly my favourite and where we will visit most when we come for London day trips in the future.
