House For Sale £1,150,000
Back Street, Ashton Keynes, Swindon SN6

Description
A deceptively spacious family house together with a
separate annexe set in a very desirable village.

Description
Understood to date back from the early 18th century, Mill Brook Cottage is a charming period house which retains many period features including exposed stonework and ceiling beams. The external appearance belies the amount of accommodation offered which is surprisingly spacious and ideal for family living. Complementing the house is a pretty cottage style garden.

Internally the house provides two reception rooms to the front, a heavily beamed sitting room and a larger drawing room which opens out into the good sized kitchen. Indeed the kitchen extends the full width of the house and creates a real hub for family living. Off the side hall is the cloakroom and utility room. Five bedrooms are provided on the first floor with the main bedroom having two built in wardrobes and its own shower room. There is also the family bathroom and three of the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes. There are intranet cables connected.

Externally the property is approached through double gates with gravelled parking for a number of vehicles. The detached garage has been converted to provide for self contained accommodation and comprises a sitting room with kitchenette, shower room and a first floor bedroom with Velux roof lights. The remainder is made over to a single garage which also houses the oil fired boiler.

The established garden is found to the front of the house. The south west orientation makes it particularly sunny and therefore ideal for outside entertaining. Mature and private, the garden is divided into two with lawn and shrub borders close to the front of the house. A picket gate leads through to the second half which is also lawned and having a raised border and a timber garden shed. There is a vehicle charging point on the garage and external power points in the gardens.

In summary Mill Brook Cottage is a delightful family home set in a favoured part of this North Wiltshire village. The inclusion of a separate annexe makes the property particularly appealing for home workers or for those who want additional accommodation for family needs.
