It has the cosy charm of a traditional cottage combined with bright, spacious rooms thanks to a recent, modern renovation. We call it the Tardis, because it looks bigger on the inside.
Set well back from the road, the house feels safe and secure – everyone watches out for each other in Kenn. Children ride their bikes in the road and horses pass by as often as cars and tractors. It’s a real community.
Despite being conveniently close to everything, this is a farming village that feels rural, secluded and far away from town life. Our neighbours keep chickens and our garden backs on to fields. We can often hear sheep softly bleating at dusk.
We have created a haven for wildlife with berried bushes and blossom-covered trees – and a private oasis of calm for us. In summer, the pond is home to frogs and the little allotment patch overflows with strawberries.
