The walls had been papered with woodchip, in every room and removing this, also removed most of the original (horsehair) plaster, a long and very dirty job. Rewiring and replastering followed, and a stud wall installed to recreate the hallway and adapt the ground floor living space. Bespoke ceiling roses and coving were added to restore the former elegance of this home, cast iron radiators were a further addition as well as the installation of a working fireplace in the living room.
One of my favourite features of this property is the staircase which is a core architectural feature of this period home and leads to a spacious landing and generous family bathroom from which the views over Windsor Great Park are simply breath taking.
