House For Sale £365,000
Bowden Road, Whitehall, Bristol BS5

Description
"This house has been a perfect first home for us and we've grown to absolutely love the area and everything it has to offer (so much so that we're staying in St George for our next move). One of the big draws of the house was that the road leads into one of the best parks in Bristol just metres away - which now feels like an extension of our garden. The house itself has been just right for us, with the second bedroom neatly doubling up as a cosy office. The kitchen and dining room is a really sociable layout and we love having the doors open in the summer and letting all the evening light into the house. We've given a lot of care to the house since moving in, with new floors, painted walls, new electrics and an updated kitchen with a new cooker. The whole street is really friendly and has its own community-spirited whatsapp group. Church Road with its growing number of independent shops and pubs is a very pleasant 5 minute walk away through the park, and the cemetery, Troopers Hill and the river are other great options for nearby green space. We'll be very sad to leave!"

Bowden Road is situated in St George, in the East of the City. One of the city’s most popular parks, St George’s park is a wonderful place including a cafe, a skate park, and a lake. Across the park is Church Road with The Bristol Loaf bakery, The Red Church pub and Poco deli, to name just a few favourites a stone's throw away. A little bit further is the amazing view at Trooper’s Hill and the River Avon for walks, or Old Market for more shops and cafes. Head out in the other direction across Whitehall Road and you’re at the cycle path in just a few minutes. It’s great for traffic-free walks or bike rides to the harbour. Across the cycle path is Easton with even more pubs, cafes, and the brilliant St Mark’s Road with the delicious Thali restaurant, and Sweetmart for groceries and any spice you can think of. Beyond that is the big green space of Eastville Park and Snuff mills for a tree-lined river walk. There are several well-regarded schools in the area, meaning this is a popular area with families. For commuters, the area is a short journey into Bristol City Centre by bus, bike or car, whilst also being just a short drive from Bath and the motorway networks as well. From this side of the City Centre, Bristol Temple Meads is just a short journey away.

A mid terrace Victoria house which has a wonderful homely feel throughout. Downstairs there is a reception room to the front of the house with an open fire and two windows meaning the room gets plenty of light. To the rear of the house is a kitchen/diner with double doors to the pretty rear garden with patio area, lawn and raised beds. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a further bedroom with a very clever raised bed so the room can easily accommodate both a desk and guests. The bathroom has stripped wood floors and a shower over the bath. There is also potential to extend into the generous loft, like other houses in the street have done. Council tax band B
