House For Sale £795,000
Queens Road, Portishead, Bristol BS20

Description
“We have lived in Portishead for 20+ years and we have resided at Queens Road for the last 9 years. During this time, we have lovingly updated our home. We love the peace and tranquility here. The house was individually designed in 1971, cleverly incorporating plenty of space and storage whilst maximising the stunning views across to Wales. The sunsets are quite something! There are plenty of walks to enjoy such as through the fields at Merlin Park, woodland (10-15mins away), walks along the coastline, (a 5-10mins away) whilst the Marina, lake grounds and Portishead High Street are just a short drive away or a 20-30min walk. There is also a lovely Nature Reserve which is a favourite place of ours. Portishead has a great community feel, boasts plenty of shops, cafes, pubs, and eateries. There are 5 primary schools, including Highdown which is just a short walk away. Gordano secondary school is a short drive away, or a 20-25 min walk. We will very much miss everything this home and Portishead has offered us, and hope the new owners will be as happy as we have been. “

Queens Road is situated in a quiet residential area of Portishead with fabulous views across the Estuary. Portishead is a small popular town to the south of Bristol with excellent amenities, schools and links to the City and beyond. The high street is home to many eateries, shops and wine bars including Impero Lounge, Venga and The Port Bar. The Marina offers a great choice in restaurants with La Marina, Bottelinos, Aqua and the independent coffee shop Mokoko. The scenic Lake grounds are a great place for a walk with the dog, a play in the playground or a swim in the famous open-air pool. Residents to this area have a fantastic choice of walks they can enjoy, either along the coast or towards Portbury Wharf Nature reserve.

The house is in a prime, elevated position to the South of the town. The house was built in the 1970’s and with this comes large spacious rooms, plenty of windows making the house light and bright and a generous garden with mature trees and shrubs. It is positioned at the end of a small private road making it lovely and private and there is a driveway for 3/4 cars and a large garage/workshop. The house has been lovingly refurbished from top to toe, with modern kitchens and bathrooms making it the perfect family home. On entering the property there is a light hallway with glass balustrades and Amtico parquet flooring, and on this level you will find a cloakroom and study. Up the stairs, you have the kitchen/diner straight ahead, with an enormous picture window taking in the spectacular view, there are also glass doors to a large elevated decked area, perfect for an evening BBQ. On this floor is a large reception room, again with plenty of glass and doors to the terrace and a further sitting room/snug. Down to the ground floor there’s a master suite with fitted wardrobes an en-suite shower room and views towards the sea and three further bedrooms, again two of these have the wonderful view and there is a further family bathroom. This floor is also home to a large storage room, a utility room and a study.
