House For Sale £625,000
Eldon Terrace, Windmill Hill, Bristol BS3

Description
Vendor Comment: 'This home has provided a stage from which our young family have played out our lives since moving to Bristol five years ago. The view is the most striking aspect of the house and provides the structure of life in Windmill Hill. In the distance are the green hills that remind you that empty country lanes are just a few minutes bike ride away. In the middle distance is Bristol itself: Georgian Clifton crescents, church spires, ships masts, stadiums and more. Central Bristol and its museums, shops, restaurants, offices, and train station are within walking distance. In the closer locality lies Wapping Wharf, North Street, and Bedminster Parade. There are plenty of good shops and cafes here to meet friends, bump into neighbours, and buy good produce from here. Still closer to home and into our everyday lives is Windmill City Farm. Teaching our daughters their animal noises became hands on.

Whilst walking to nursery we were happily joining in with the mooing cows, quacking ducks, and oinking pigs. The other green spaces around us provided more adventures for our growing children. We could go on the swings in Victoria Park, drop sticks into the Malago river or climb trees in St Johns Burial ground.

The community is a treasure within the city. During the covid lockdowns a neighbour messaged the street asking whether we would like to come out into our gardens on a Saturday afternoon and dance to his dj set. This desperately welcome weekly communal party expanded into live music and even a small festival last summer.

And finally, if you wish to rest, the home was a peaceful place to stay. We would hunker down in winter next to the wood burning stove, watch the trees blossom in the neighbourhood, observe spectacular sunsets, or have a BBQ in the garden as we saw hot air balloons rise from Ashton Court and drift over us.'<br /><br />
