There is an excellent selection of schools available, both state and private, including The Paragon, Prior Park College, King Edward’s, Monkton Combe and Beechen Cliff. There are primary schools in Freshford, Norton St Philip and Rode.
Description

Entering the house via the front door you are immediately struck by how light and airy it feels. To your left, you go through to a very attractive sitting room which runs front to rear of the property and has double aspect. The views are rather wonderful at the rear and there is timber mantelpiece with multifuel wood burning stove. This leads through via double doors to a family room and a handy study.

Back to the hall, there is a downstairs cloakroom and a further understairs cupboard. This leads on to the dining room with French doors out to the terrace and gardens beyond. From here, you enter the kitchen which is very well-fitted with cream shaker style units and appliances which include an integrated AEG fridge, integrated dishwasher and Rangemaster cooker with gas hob and electric ovens below. To the rear of the kitchen a door leads through to a useful utility room which has further units with worktops, a sink and plumbing for a washing machine. A door from here leads out to the gardens.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms in total. The master bedroom is found on the west side of the house and is superb. It enjoys a double aspect with a feature window to one side which really makes the most of the views. The master has its own ensuite bathroom.

There are three further bedrooms, two of which are doubles and one is a single and there is also a family bathroom and a separate dressing room. On the landing there is an airing cupboard which houses the combi boiler.

Externally

Northerly has a very good area to the front which is mainly finished as a tarmac driveway, ample for parking several vehicles. To the right is a garage combined with a very useful covered car port.

To the front of the house is a low wall flanked with beech hedging and black electrically operated iron gates. A pathway leads down one side of the house and the rear of the garage can be accessed via a small courtyard at the back of the kitchen.

The rear gardens are magical at Northerly. Immediately at the rear of the house is a very nicely fitted garden studio providing an excellent space for home working or just relaxing and enjoying the wonderful views. The gardens run down to fine lawned areas which are flanked by a mixture of hedging plants and herbaceous perennials. There is a beautiful ash tree on the left side of the garden. At the bottom of the garden are two sheds, one of which is timber, the other composite. There is also a greenhouse and log store.
