The development is less than a mile from the heart of Regency Cheltenham. There are bus stops just yards from the front gates, with regular services throughout the county. Within walking distance of Jenner Court is a Waitrose supermarket, and a gp surgery just across the road
The assisted living ethos is designed to allow homeowners to live a more independent life in an attractive and social environment, with domestic and personal care on hand should they need it. The restaurant and lounge allow for regular interaction, and many activity groups meet there (advertising events on the notice boards and in the newsletter run by the homeowners). The apartment itself is located on the 1st floor and can be accessed via two separate lifts or the stairs. Located at the front of the building, enjoying the green and leafy outlook, there is an entrance hall, a large utility cupboard, a bathroom/wet room with a bath and separate shower, a double bedroom with built in wardrobes, and a lovely sitting/dining room that opens into the modern fitted kitchen and enjoys double doors to a Juliet balcony. Special note should be taken of the private balcony which is accessed from the bedroom, a lovely place to watch the world go by.
There is 24 hour on-site staffing, secure camera entry systems and a 24 hour emergency call system. When needed, a range of personal care packages can be provided by the onsite cqc registered care agency team. The development also has a homeowners' lounge, fitted with large screen TV and free WiFi. Jenner Court makes friends and family welcome, and guests can eat with homeowners, and stay overnight in the Guest Suite (£25 per night).
We are informed that the annual service charges of £7217.88 pa (£601.49 pm) include :
Electricity, heating, lighting and power to communal areas
Water rates for apartments and communal areas
Cleaning of windows - communal and outside of apartments
Upkeep of gardens and grounds
Repairs and maintenance to the interior and exterior communal areas
Contingency fund including internal and external redecoration of communal areas
Buildings insurance
Intruder alarm system
Care staff onsite 24 hours a day
1 hour’s domestic assistance per week (extra hours available at £17.42 per hour)
24 hour emergency call system (pull cords and pendant)
Running of onsite waitress service restaurant; 3 course lunch £6.00 residents, £8.10 guests. (Meals can also be provided in an apartment when necessary)
Secure mobility scooter parking and charging stations
The Service charge does not cover Council Tax, apartment’s electricity, TV licence or internet.
