4 bed Flat For Sale £575,000
Chewton Road, London E17

Description
This late Victorian duplex apartment is located on a quiet, tree-lined street between Blackhorse Road and St James Street. At almost 1,200 sq ft it is larger than many houses, and with four bedrooms and its own section of garden it’s an excellent family home.

The property is part of the Warner Estate, constructed by the Warner Company around 1900. These purpose-built maisonettes are every bit as popular today as they were back then. Understandably so, because with great room sizes, large windows, and thoughtful layouts, they are perfectly suited to modern living.

If you lived here...

You’d come through your own private street door, up the stairs, and onto the spacious first floor, with your living room, separate kitchen, three bedrooms, WC, and bathroom all coming off a long hallway. On the second floor above you’d have a further bedroom with an en suite shower room and eaves storage.
With most of the living space on the first floor, the apartment feels roomy, with lots of options as to how to use the rooms. The current owners, for example, use the top floor suite as a workspace, which it is well suited to, given its distance from the rest of the apartment. It would however also make a lovely restful bedroom away from the fray.
The main living room and smallest bedroom (also an ideal study) are at the front of the house, with the kitchen to the rear of the apartment, and the other two bedrooms in between. Beyond the kitchen a small hall leads to the main bathroom, with a compact bath and shower, a WC, and the stairs to the top floor.
Overall, the apartment is a pleasing mix of original features and modern updates, with sash windows, ceiling cornicing, and fireplaces alongside downlighters, metro tiled bathrooms and a contemporary fitted kitchen with integrated appliances.

What else?

-Transport links are great, with two stations within a five-minute walk; Blackhorse Road, with journeys of 13 minutes to King’s Cross and 17 minutes to the West End, and St James Street, with 16 minute journeys into the City.

A word from the owner.....

I have loved living in this flat it’s very homely, the street is pretty & the neighbours are friendly. It is a short walk to the wetlands, Springfield marina, it’s accessible to the local trendy bars/cafes like Crate. There are some fantastic schools close by & it’s an 8 minute walk to Blackhorse Road tube so a great commute home.
