The recently extended bright, airy, double aspect kitchen, benefits from shaker style units, wooden worktops and flooring, with space for table and chairs. The study to the front features an attractive open fireplace forming the focal point of the room. The fireplace and wooden floorboards give the room a warm and welcoming feel.
The fabulous dining room to the rear, displays unique rare listed scenic wallpaper, with French doors opening out onto the patio area of the garden, to bring the outside in.
The French scenic wallpaper, which is usually a feature found in stately homes is a rare example still found in its original setting. It is said that no more than a dozen good examples survive in their original setting in Britain and the Homeside wallpaper is important for its rarity and also for the speculation over why it was hung in a back room. The Homeside wall paper has raised many questions over how and who would have bought such highly decorative and expensive wallpapers.
The Redman family, oyster merchants, landowners and ship builders owned Homeside from the 19th Century to the early 20th Century and It is thought that the wallpaper were hung by Isaac Redman 1809- 1885 in 1836 with the suggestion that it was bought from a Frenchman in Jersey. There is speculation that it may have been smuggled in to avoid the high import duties on luxury goods and with the Redmans shipping and trade links, this is possible.
The ground floor also benefits from a good sized family shower room, with room to house a washing machine and tumble dryer. A door from here leads down to a good sized storage cellar.

The first floor boasts a great size lounge, master bedroom, a double bedroom and family bathroom. There are 2 additional double bedrooms to the second floor, with stairs leading to a large attic bedroom. This bedroom features a beamed vaulted ceiling and some very useful built in storage cupboards.

The enclosed rear garden (measuring approx 45' x 45') offers privacy and security and is mainly laid to lawn with flower beds, featuring a sizeable patio, which wraps around the side of the house. A useful, good sized shed is included in the sale.

Located in the quiet village of Oare, overlooking Faversham Creek, the house has great access links to the A2/M2 motorways, with easy access for beautiful, scenic country walks and the Marina.
The house is believed to be in the catchment area of the sought after Luddenham Primary School and only a 5 minute drive from the Town Centre and the Railway Station, with the high speed service to London.
