London Road, Sittingbourne ME10

Description
A splendid detached property built in the early 1920’s which has been generously extended over the years and now offers almost 1600 sq.ft of spacious and characterful accommodation.

The current owners have made many improvements including a new downstairs shower room, updated kitchen, new flooring and many enhancements to the outside space including a recently laid bloc paved driveway.

There is a new composite front door which opens into a lobby area with a characterful round window. An inner door leads one to a magnificent entrance hall which has been beautifully decorated and showcases the intricate architrave and original balustrade.

To the left there is a triple aspect sitting room with French doors to the garden and an exposed brick feature fireplace.

Whilst to the right of the hallway there is a spectacular open plan family room which is centred around an exposed brick chimney breast which encompasses a gas fire.

The kitchen has recently been updated with new kitchen cupboard doors which complement the stainless-steel sink and induction double range oven. A breakfast bar between the kitchen and dining room creates some division but allows the space to be open and sociable.

At the rear of the house there is access to the garden, a walk-in larder, a useful utility room and a newly fitted shower room which has been finished with sleek, porcelain tiles.

To the first floor one will find four bedrooms and a well-appointed family bathroom which has a stylish four-piece suite and has been finished with ornate taps and decorative tiles.

There is a small room which is currently used as a home office and has an air-conditioning unit, this could be used as a dressing room as it’s adjacent to the main bedroom. To the left of the staircase, there was once a large bedroom but has now been divided into two rooms using stud walls, these could however, easily be removed to create one large double bedroom.

Outside:

The house sits on a generous plot with a bloc paved driveway to the front, easily accommodating half a dozen cars, and is enclosed by mature hedging and small trees. The driveway is illuminated by light posts, whilst the rear garden also has high specification lights fitted on the underneath of the new soffits and fascia’s.

The garden is mainly laid to lawn and surrounded by attractive shrubs and small plants. A patio area provides plenty of room for alfresco dining, and includes a retractable canopy making, whilst the artificial grass area has a built-in bench.
