Lansbury Road, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire MK3

Description
Overview

Why buy this home....

Some houses you enter and get an instant feeling of home that you can't explain; this is one of them. Downstairs has a sociable kitchen/diner at the heart of it. Contrasting grey units give a very modern feel to the kitchen which is offset against grey worktops. The current owners have also added Amtico flooring from the hallway through to the living room, giving it a modern and premium look. Integrated appliances include a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as an electric double oven and gas hob. The separating worktop to the dining area overhangs meaning it doubles up as a breakfast bar. The dining area itself is big enough for a six-seater dining table. There is understairs storage in the kitchen and a useful WC.

The living room is at the back of the house and is big enough for two sofas or you could go with a more modern corner sofa. French doors lead onto the recently landscaped garden, There’s enough room for a seating area directly outside the French doors but also another smaller seating area at the top of the garden so you can soak up the sun all day long. There’s access to the front of the house through a side gate.
The first floor has a large bedroom at the rear. It is comfortably big enough for an adult to have their own private space or for two children to share. The bathroom sits between this bedroom and the smaller third. It is fully tiled around the bath, has a glass shower screen and overhead shower.

The master bedroom occupies the top floor and has stunning vaulted ceilings making it a bright and airy space. Being one of the main selling features, it certainly doesn't disappoint and has plenty of room for furniture. There is also an ensuite with a double shower cubicle.

More about the location.....

For a new development, Newton Leys is steeped in history. With some parts dating back as far as the Iron Age. However, it was more recently famous for brick-making from the late 19th Century, in the form of Newton Longville Brickworks. When the Brickworks closed in 1978, an old claypit was flooded to create Jubilee Lake, now more commonly known as Willow Lake, easily the jewel in Newton Leys' crown.

Newton Leys is a district that covers the southern tip of Bletchley and is split between the Borough of Milton Keynes and Aylesbury Vale. Conveniently located next to the A4146 and A5, it gives easy access to Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard and the M1. You have a choice of either Bletchley or Leighton Buzzard Train Stations which both offer services directly into London Euston and Birmingham.

Primary Schooling is provided by the surrounding villages and Secondary Schooling is provided by Cottesloe in Wing or Royal Latin Grammar School in Buckingham.

In 2017 Newton Leys District Centre opened providing local conveniences such as a Costa, Chinese Takeaway, Fish and Chip Shop, Dry Cleaners, Hair Salon and a 8000 sq. Ft Asda. At the end of April the Turing Key pub opened its doors and has already cemented itself as the heart of the community. It is in good company as there also numerous village pubs within a few miles such as The Three Locks at Stoke Hammond, The Crooked Billet at Newton Longville and The Betsey Wynne at Swanbourne.
