House For Sale £395,000
Buckthorn Row, Corsham SN13

Description
I am such a fan of these large 3 bedroom townhouses ! They truly are a great design with a 2nd sitting/family room open plan to the kitchen/diner, the day to day family activities can stay on one floor. A spacious hall offers plenty of room for coats and shoes with a under stairs cupboard tucked out of sight. The bay fronted family room offers enough space for a sofa or alternatively would make a great study area if you work from home. The large kitchen/diner is more generous than you would expect, with a wide range of units, a built in double eye level oven essential dishwasher ! The dining space opens up via French doors onto the garden and a useful utility and cloakroom is set off to the side.

Onto the first floor and a more formal sitting room offers space to relax, with a feature fireplace with electric fire, bay window adding to the character of the room. With the property set well back from the road in a slightly elevated location, there is a feeling of space from this room. Also on this floor is a good sized double bedroom, complete with full width built in wardrobes. The family bathroom is a nice modern room with the addition of a mixer shower fitting over the bath. Finally, the top floor offers a master bedroom and 3rd double bedroom, both with built in wardrobes for storage and dormer windows adding character to this modern home. The master bedroom also has the use of a good sized ensuite shower room.

Outside to the rear is a larger than average garden for a town house with a patio area for the outside furniture, a nice amount of lawn, gate to the parking and additional space to the side of the house which offers a great additional space for seating or storage. A shed is also accessed from this area. Unusually, the property is not overlooked from the rear and a small seating area is tucked off to the side where the evening sun will warm you up as you enjoy a sundowner ! To the front, the property is set safely off the road along a pedestrian walkway. Parking is accessed from Gorse place behind and offers one allocated space next to the garden and a single garage a few short steps away.

Situated on the quieter end of this development, the house is just a very short walk away from a wooded copse and lakes with walks around the development or onward to Neston. Pedestrian cut throughs offer good access by foot to the Corsham secondary school, Springfield campus and onwards to the town centre. A local shop is provided by the Co op where you can stock up on essentials, but also collect/return deliveries. There are 2 children's play parks within the development, and a real sense of community.

Transport links are provided by a local bus service which runs around the estate with further bus stops for Bath or Chippenham rail station close by. The road access to both Bath and the M4 is excellent and the rail line at Chippenham provides access to London Paddington in just under an hour. Corsham itself is a pretty picturesque town with resident peacocks who wander the high street checking out the independent shops and eateries. A great arts scene is provided by the Pound arts centre and the area is high up on the list of best areas to live in the west. The Springfield sports campus offers a pool, gym, a variety of classes and a climbing wall. Plenty for all ages, and the library and café provide a quiet place to stop and relax. There are a variety of great local primary schools and the popular Corsham secondary school also has a very successful 6th form.
