Comment From Andrew Hayes Of Gascoigne Halman

The property forms part of a little known row of just four houses tucked away on Red Lane but approached from Lime Avenue. Rarely changing hands, the houses are the epitome of Victorian splendour and it's easy to understand why they enjoy long term ownership. The house has a striking double fronted facade with a trailing wisteria and it leads to a spacious, versatile interior that is packed with original period features. The accommodation is arranged over three floors and extends in total to over 2400 sq ft (224 sq m). The ground floor includes a long hallway with original staircase and a cloakroom/WC, a spacious lounge and a separate sitting and dining room. The kitchen has been recently re-fitted with a range of modern units incorporating a breakfast bar. There are five large double bedrooms spread over the upper floors plus a family bathroom and a separate WC. There is a detached double garage situated to the side of the house and a useful range of traditional outbuildings to the rear set within a lovely walled courtyard. The front garden offers superb elevated views to Frodsham Hill and beyond. The garden is split into two sections, the upper level is an ornamental garden with a lawn and patio area from where you can enjoy the sunny South Westerly aspect. The lower section is a productive allotment garden with vegetable beds and fruit trees.
