Sellers Story

We have lived in our home since 2013 and had many happy memories – from our grandchildren’s first Christmases to our daughters both moving out and finding their own homes. We love the quiet surroundings of our home and how we can sit in the garden until late into the summer evenings with wine enjoying the peacefulness.

Our dogs get on with George, the dog who lives behind our garden and you can often see him poking his head up at the fence to say hello to our dogs.

The house fit all our requirements, with extra rooms for crafts and spare sitting rooms – yet still wasn’t too large that it made the house feel cold and not cosy. We’ll miss the home a lot and can’t wait for another family to buy and enjoy it, the way that we did.

The kitchen is our favourite room. We’ve had to do very minimal work to the house in terms of upkeep, it’s been a pleasure. However, we did do a complete renovation of the kitchen which we believe is the heart of our home and we spend the most time in there – from breakfast to after-dinner entertainment.

The big range cooker is great for entertaining and the fact the dining table fits in the room so you can cook and chat at the same time works great for us. On the other hand there is enough space to move the table into a different room if you prefer them separate.

The memories that stick out the most are the Christmases we’ve spent here – the first one in particular. As it was the first time, we’d all lived together and the extended family were able to come and stay thanks to the extra space it was amazing to have everyone all together. We moved the dining table into the lounge and extended it and had the space in the kitchen for nibbles and extra entertaining.

The extra lounge meant we didn’t have to argue over who wanted to watch the kiddies xmas film vs. Doctor who and everyone had space to just relax, have fun and enjoy themselves. We’ve had many more like that since we moved and we’re excited to make more memories in our next place.

The area and its surroundings are amazing. There are lovely places to walk the dogs, and the area is so quiet and family friendly. It’s truly a happy family home, you can walk the dogs into the village and have a pit-stop at the pub on the corner for a drink and something to eat. The field behind is also perfect to allow them a run around!

As mentioned before, we love sitting in the garden in the sunshine – even when it’s not super-hot outside. The house just works for us, and we’ve loved it completely!

If we could move the house and squidge it a bit smaller we wouldn’t move! It’s been bliss and we hope someone else has as many happy memories here as we did – for us, it’s time to find something smaller for our forever home now we’re just a 3.
