If you lived here...

You’d love living in this house which has been extensively renovated to suit modern lifestyles yet retains all the charm of a Victorian property. It has a great combination of spacious rooms and cosy corners, offering lots of options for flexible living, whether you need lots of bedrooms or guest rooms and workspaces. The ground floor has great flow, with a huge living room that’s connected via a hatch and doorway to the kitchen/diner beyond. The living room is zoned into a front lounge area and a rear dining area. The kitchen/diner has two-tone Shaker-style fitted wall/floor cabinets and full-height cupboards, a tiled splashback, ceramic Butler sink, and brass/copper fittings. There’s lots of space for a large dining table and great natural light from two skylights and huge glazed doors. It also has underfloor heating and glazed double doors that open onto the garden terrace. The landscaped garden has zones for entertaining, planting and play, with a paved terrace adjacent to the house, a lawn bordered by beds and a raised rear deck. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on both the first and second floors. The main front bedroom on the first floor has bespoke wardrobes and drawers, and the second rear bedroom has garden views. The family bathroom has a boutique hotel feel, with a traditional clawfoot freestanding bath, a walk-in rainfall shower and stylish washstand. The larger bedroom on the top floor at the front has two skylights and extensive eaves storage. The smaller rear bedroom has great rooftop and garden views. In between is a fully tiled shower room. The property has original stripped pine floors throughout and is confidently decorated in a contemporary palette that gives it character as well as colour.

A word from the expert...

“I have worked in Walthamstow for over 7 years, and I still enjoy the buzz in the area. From the scene in Walthamstow Central which offers Collab, Gokyuzu and the Empire cinema. Take a short stroll to the famous William Morris gallery which is located on the popular Lloyd Park surrounded by beautiful green scenery. Walthamstow Village has been a popular trend for me over the years with its bubbly night life and quirky pubs. My personal favourite is The Village Pub.

There are four train stations in Walthamstow. Walthamstow Central, Wood Street, Blackhorse Road and Walthamstow Queens Road. I have commuted to and from Central London from Walthamstow Train Station which takes less than 20 minutes so I can see why Walthamstow has the nickname awsomestow”.
