Blackcurrant Drive, Long Ashton, Bristol BS41

Description
'We love the juxtaposition of country and city life and the healthy work life balance that living in Long Ashton has afforded us. A easy city commute by car, bike or bus and accessibility to both motorways and the Bristol airport have made short breaks in the UK or Europe effortless. The village is rich with history and has a strong sense of community that supports its many local independent businesses. Our home, built on the old agricultural and horticultural research centre is where Ribena was invented in 1933. Remnants of the areas involvement in the development of the West Country Cider industry can be seen in local streets that are adorned with apple and fruit trees. Among other local events, the annual wassailing and apple harvest festivals are always fun.
The hub of our home has by far been the large open plan kitchen/diner with central island and French doors leading out to the patio and back yard. One of our favourite memories is the kids dancing, and scooting on their ride ons around the kitchen island on rainy winter days. The backyard extends beyond our fence line to include some truly wonderful natural spaces and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have had the opportunity to raise our family here for the past 10 years. We are off on a new adventure, but know you and your family will have as much joy and happiness in this home and village as we have.'
