Description
An extended, recently re-decorated 3-bedroom detached bungalow featuring a superb kitchen/dining room quietly located at the foot of a peaceful cul-de-sac in the sought-after New Forest village of Hale. No onward chain.

A superbly presented and extended detached bungalow well-located towards the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac in the desirable New Forest village of Hale. The bungalow was extensively refurbished and extended approximately 12 years ago with the addition of an impressive, open plan kitchen/breakfast/dining room which is undoubtedly the centrepiece of the property and the social heart of the home. Further work at this time included whole scale re-wiring, a replacement central heating system, replacement windows, replacement bathroom fittings and the bungalow was fully redecorated in December 2022. Externally, there is a well stocked, cottage-style front garden and a tiered rear garden planted with an abundance of perennial shrubs that create a high degree of privacy.

Agent's note
Please note that the Vendor requires completion no later than 31st March 2023 and has advised they will not sell the property beyond this date.

Hatchet Close is a peaceful cul-de-sac a short walk from the picturesque open scenery of Hatchet Common and Hale Purlieu beyond. Hale is one of a cluster of pretty villages populating the north-western corner of the New Forest National Park. The village has a highly regarded primary school overlooking the common, which is also home to the local cricket team, as well as the cattle and ponies that freely roam this part of the forest. Neighbouring Woodgreen, Woodfalls and Downton provide a range of village facilities including shops and public houses, whilst the Avonside town of Fordingbridge is approximately 5 miles away to the south. The Cathedral City of Salisbury is approximately 8 miles to the north via the A338 and the nearby B3078 crosses the forest to pick up the M27 at Cadnam for access to Southampton. For the outdoor enthusiast Hale is ideally placed as a stepping stone for wider exploration of the forest and the glorious heath, moor and woodland it has to offer, with the National Trust owned Hale Purlieu within walking distance.

To the front of the property a gravelled off road parking space supplies parking for two vehicles, with a single pedestrian and double gates inset to a wooden picket fence giving access to the bungalow. A former driveway runs to the side of the property where there is a useful garden shed.

The front garden has been attractively landscaped to incorporate a patio area and well stocked borders and beds. To the rear of the bungalow is a larger section of garden which slopes away from the property in a northerly direction, following the contours of the hillside. A network of pathways has been created through extensively stocked shrub and flower beds and the garden continues to follow the gradient of the hillside to the far end where it adjoins neighbouring farmland.

New Forest District Council.

All mains services connected. Gas fired combination boiler located in roof space.

Leave Fordingbridge travelling in a northerly direction on the A338 and turn right at Breamore to Woodgreen. Once in the village continue turn right immediately after the Horse and Groom public house. Follow the road as it traverses Woodgreen Common and enters Hale Purlieu. At the Tethering Drove crossroads turn left towards Hatchet Green. At the t-junction the entrance to Hatchet Close will be seen on the opposite side of the road and the property is located in the far left hand corner of the cul-de-sac.
