When you open the door to this house, it instantly raises a smile. The level of detailing is excellent. From a range cooker to heritage-style radiators, a Jetmaster fire, striped stair carpet contrasting with oak hallway flooring, even glazed doors throughout the downstairs to encourage light and a lantern-roof conservatory for the same, it's truly a delightful house.
Open the thick timber door and you enter a hallway that is a visual feast. Everywhere you look the design touches are masterful. The cupboard to the left is the same colour as the walls so it blends in, whereas the window reveal is a dark green to give it depth. This theme continues with a lovely wood floor giving that cottage feel, contrasting with a stair carpet that exhibits a sense of fun. With a large window to the left it's also a light space. Move on to the kitchen and you enter another room that oozes personality. Subtle panelling to the rear gives the room shape, patina, and this contrasts beautifully with a slender vertical radiator fitted to save space - but not just any old radiator! The same timber floor of the hallway continues through, giving the design some consistency, and this keys in well with a lovely suite of farmhouse-style kitchen units that are topped with timber work surfaces. We certainly were not expecting to find a Rangemaster range cooker in here, nor a double butler sink!
