Sellers insight 'We have enjoyed living at East View for the past 12 years. We chose this property as we fell in love with the garden and we could see the flexibility it offered with the different outbuildings.

We loved the fact that the house is located in a rural area while being close to London. When we saw the house for the first time we could see all the potential of making a perfect family home.

In 2017 we remodelled the house completely by adding an extension at the front and the side of the house. We have also refurbished all the outbuildings to create more living space.The house is so versatile it could be ideal for a large family, a couple with elderly parents who need separate accommodation or someone looking to use it for a business and a home in the same grounds.

I love the flexibility the house offers. During covid, it was brilliant to be able to have enough space for everyone to work, go to the gym, play in the garden. We felt very privileged.

My favourite room is the Kitchen being the heart of the house. From there, I can see everything happening in the house and the terrace outside. I can prepare meals for family and friends whilst enjoying their company as everyone gathers around.

We made sure that the living area feels separated from the bedrooms and bathrooms. We felt it was important as the house is all on one level.

The outside terrace has also been a fantastic space to entertain with the BBQ and dining area or to chill on a sunny day on one of the lounges whilst being completely private. We wanted to recreate our dream holiday retreat with the lush tropical plants, the soft lighting and the trickle of the fountain: It is our Ibiza from England.

I remember when the gym was finished and we could fill-in the spa for the first time. We were so happy that day that the work was finally done, we decided to enjoy it straight away with a glass of champagne. We spent hours in the warm bubbles with the children.We will probably miss this the most.

Our lovely neighbours have been so welcoming and there is a real sense of community in the area. We invite each other regularly for our children's birthdays, New Year's eve parties or summer BBQs. It is nice to know that we can ask for help when needed.

This is a great place to raise children. The local schools are very good and Brentwood has a great private school only 10 mins away from here. They are also two excellent grammar schools in Chelmsford. Our children enjoyed the freedom and safety of living in the countryside.

The surrounding countryside offers plenty of country walks as well as a local pub to enjoy drinks and a meal.

It has been so convenient for commuting with Shenfield and Brentwood train stations about 15 mins away with easy access to London. Stansted airport is only 30 mins from here as well as the M25, M11 and A12 are all a short distance from here too.

We will certainly miss living here but feel now it is time for our next venture'.

Location Families chose to live here for the access to the highly regarded schools are with Doddinghurst Primary School with 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating, and Kelvedon Hatch and Blackmore Primary Schools also close by. Buses serve the local secondary schools including the desirable Brentwood School. The area offers as many open spaces, countryside walks, bridle paths whilst still being just a short drive to Brentwood, Ongar and Chelmsford.

Brentwood Town Centre with its array of shops bar and restaurants as well as and Shenfield Train Stations are both under a 5 miles away with trains into London in approximately 20mins also now with access to the new Elizabeth Line. Main road links for the A12/M25 and A414 are also within easy reach.
